Develop Happiness Inside and Learn How to Be Happy
Our February 2010 Guest Blogger
is Nancy Leport.
Certified PeopleMap Trainer
Certified Life Coach
Seminar Leader and Trainer
Spiritual Director and Retreat Leader
Please enjoy her post: No matter what we expect from the future, we can choose to embrace what it brings.
After serving in the professional ministry for 13 years, I felt a
call away from parish work but wasn’t sure what I was being called
to! Working with a life coach, I discovered a fresh perspective
that combined my passion for research, learning and presentations
with my passion for teaching and training.
Pursuing a new avenue in ministry took me to Boston College where I received a Post Master's Certificate in the Practice of Spirituality in 2004. By incorporating what I knew with what I had learned, my business of designing workshops and retreats began.
In working with congregations to meet their needs, a pattern emerged that pointed out the need for coaching within congregations. This discovery led me to seek out certification as a life coach. The Institute for Life Coach Training certified me as a life coach in 2007 just one year after receiving my certification as an Interim Pastor from the Presbyterian Church USA.
As I looked for new ways to work with people to develop and improve their communication and leadership skills, I discovered Dr. E. Michael Lillibridge, the developer of the PeopleMap™. In 2008, I became a certified PeopleMap™ trainer under the direction of Dr. Lillibridge. (www.peoplemap.org). In my work as a life, church and corporate coach and trainer I have seen how valuable this assessment tool is and how quickly people have been able to apply it to their lives with GREAT results.
All this training and experience provides me with great satisfaction and joy and allows me to bring a wide range or experiences to my clients.

Our August 2010 Guest
Blogger will be Writer David Stone,
Filosofer of Happiness and The World's Happiest Man
Twitter: @Crane13
David writes: Public biographies, like resumes, are always
works of some deception. They emphasize the positives, successes
and wins, leaving out the dull, the colorless, aggravating and
boring. This bio will not break that trend.
As a resolute autodidact, my education has been a process of distilling life experiences, which I've concluded is all we are here to do anyway. Learn to distill well. My work has included stints in the sale of shoes, sporting goods, insurance, training for disabled adults, janitorial services, hard goods and services produced by work centers for the disabled, as well as hardware, software and technology consulting. Along the way, I have been a draft counselor, peace activist, maintenance mechanic, stationary engineer, operations manager, print broker, nonprofit marketing director, and customer relations specialist. My writing career has included gags, news features, art reviews, numerous blogs, novels (The Garden of What Was and Was Not and Traveling Without A Passport) many unpublished poems and my nonfiction book, A Million Different Things: Meditations of The World's Happiest Man. Along with my wife, a photographer and digital artist, I am putting the final polish on a new co-authored work, Travels With George: Paris, which is about a pair of cats that smuggle their way into a European vacation.
If variety is the spice of life, I'd qualify as a finalist in a chili contest vocationally. I am currently working on a blog series, published on Facebook and Hub.Pages, that features interviews with The World's Happiest Man and am mulling a full length, Adventures with The Filosofer of Happiness. I am committed to injecting humor into what has become overly serious discussions, humor being one certain indicator of happiness.

Our
October 2010 Guest Blogger will be Wes Hopper,
Founder of DailyGratitude.com
Twitter: @weshopper
Wes Hopper is an electrical engineer and former corporate marketing
manager that walked away from his career in midstream to go find
something he was passionate about. After several career trials he
was introduced to the material of Bob Proctor, and liked it so much
that he got trained by Bob to teach it. What he learned about
himself from that experience was the power of purpose! His purpose
is to make a difference in the world by helping others to do what
they love and make a difference in their world.
His DailyGratitude.com site gives away a free ebook that has been translated into six other languages by readers, and he publishes a short weekday newsletter that is read in over 100 countries. On CreateSuccessSeminars.com he continues to offer Bob Proctor books and programs. On You-Can-Have-It.com he blogs about recurring patterns in relationships and how to end the destructive ones. And since you can't take all the engineer out of him, he blogs about modern science and spirituality at MonisticIdealism.com. The only family member that understands him is his best friend, partner and wife, Sandra, a Unity minister.
Visit Wes Hopper's website and download his free ebook: http://www.DailyGratitude.com.
